Nightmare on Clematis Street

Despite all the chatter about the death of Clematis Street, there's still one nail that refuses to help close the coffin — the annual party known as Moonfest. And ironically, it's the most morbid of them all. For more than a decade, Moonfest has been one Halloweenish party that's not for the whole family. (Check the Night & Day section for more details.) And every year, it has been a great place for costume-clad passersby to check out local bands. Saturday's lineup has a few names from Moonfest past, present, and (possibly) future: Humbert, Boxelder, Hit$How, the People Upstairs, Noble Rocket, Beat Bombers, Modernage, Eight Track Mind, and Gajendra. Be ready for a late night; the street party ends at 1 a.m., but Respectable's will be a hopping-mad freak show long after the costumes come off.
